Spit Camp
Spit Camp workshops assist researchers with training in the integration of salivary measures into scientific studies. We have several different versions of Spit Camp to meet your individual needs.
All Spit Camps cover the same main topics such as: Oral fluids as biological specimens, An overview of saliva collection methods and devices, Using proper collection, handling, storage and shipping methods, Awakening response, Diurnal variation, and the basics of enzyme immunoassay techniques used for assaying saliva. In general, Spit Camps have a hands-on lab practicum, while Spit Camp workshops are seminar-based.

- Description: Our traveling workshop will visit your university and provide a lecture-based Spit Camp workshop with a hands-on demonstration of saliva collection methods and devices. Salimetrics will provide a team leader to stimulate discussions and answer questions. We will also be available for individual study consultations after the seminar. This workshop focuses on the comprehensive theoretical and applied integration of salivary analytes into behavioral, developmental, and health sciences. It is designed specifically for faculty, post-docs, or advanced graduate students who are writing grant proposals, preparing projects to go into the field, or writing papers using salivary analyte data.
