Salivary Cortisol EIA Kit

At Salimetrics, we are focused on developing and providing access to the highest quality immunoassays for salivary biomarkers. We take great pride in the fact that since its original design in 1998, our HS-Cortisol assay has become a mainstay in research and clinical laboratories. Over the years, our research and customer feedback have revealed ways to improve the HS-Cortisol EIA Kit. We had been reluctant to make updates on a regular basis because the field depends on consistency over the course of multi-year projects and comparability of results between studies.

On the eve of the HS-Cortisol EIA Kit's 8th year anniversary, we made the decision to update the protocol. The improvements include a new monoclonal antibody, lower cross-reactivity, improved reliability, as well as an expanded upper range of the calibration curve. Therefore, on September 14, 2005, the HS-Cortisol EIA Kit (Cat. No. 1-0102/1-0112, research use, and Cat. No. 1-1102/1-1112, diagnostic use) was discontinued, and the newly improved assay Expanded Range HS-Cortisol EIA Kit (Cat. No. 1-3002/1-3012, research use, and Cat. No. 1-3102/1-3112, diagnostic use) replaced it.

We encourage you to review the assay insert for detailed information about the new assay's performance characteristics. Please note that there was no change to the protocol. You will need only change the range of the calibrators in your software system. We are committed to making the transition to this new assay easy for you.
