New Expanded Range Salivary Testosterone EIA Kit

A salivary “ER” testosterone enzyme immunoassay kit with an expanded range has been developed by Salimetrics. The lower detection limit of the new ER kit matches the exceptional sensitivity of our existing testosterone assay (1.0 pg/mL) but expands the upper detection limit from 360 for the existing kit to 600pg/mL for the ER kit. The lower range continues to satisfy demand for exceptional sensitivity. The upper range is sufficiently high to capture levels generally seen in commercial test samples from patients taking testosterone supplements. The higher standard curve range eliminates the need to dilute samples with high values, saving time and money for high throughput processes.

Salivary sample collection is simple and noninvasive for subjects, while volume needed per well is only 25µl, compared to 50µl for the existing kit. Overall serum-saliva correlation for the ER kit is 0.96.

Available for research (U.S. and Int'l) and diagnostic (Int'l only) purposes. U.S. diagnostic clearance is pending.

For customers who have used our current product, please note that reagents for the current and new products are not interchangeable, and conjugates are at different concentrations. The following materials are the same in both kits: pH indicator, wash, diluent, stop, TMB, and controls.
